Mandarin Tea Garden celebrates with Bantay Bata 163 Davao Chapter on its 16th year last August 26, 2016 with the school children of Galon Elementary School, Buhangin District, Davao City. The program served 474 school children and their family members with the following activities : children and parents advocacy, medical and eye check up, provision of medicines, soup kitchen and giving of prizes.

Bantay Bata 163 has anchored its programs and services to the overall vision of the ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc. – a better world for our children. Initially, Bantay Bata 163 ‘s primary goal has been to provide protective services to survivors of chicld abse and their support system, The dawning of the realization that one can’t keep on rescuing child abuse victims forever, and that the cycle of abuse will not stop by just apprehending perpetrators, propelled Bantay Bata 163 to include in its thrusts, programs that are geared towards prevention of child abuse. Hence the birth off the Community Outreach Project (COP) in 1998.

On September 2004 Mandarin Tea Garden was declared by Davao City Government as “Healthy Eating Place Class B” for their recognition of “Healthy Places Standard” and garnered a VERY SATISFACTORY rating. From thereon, Mandarin Tea Garden has never stopped soaring towards its mission and received notable and valuable awards.
